Lauren Barrett is an intuitive artist and healing arts practitioner based in the New York Hudson Valley. She draws inspiration from everyday wonder and mindfulness practices, seeking to explore the connection to the earthly and divine within and around us in her work. Through dynamic washes of color and organic, fluid forms, the ethereal and dreamlike quality of her work expresses the presence that a place, moment, or a subject evoke, rather than the thing itself.

Currently, Lauren is developing a body of work in which written intentions become the foundation of each painting in a ritual process where language dissolves into abstraction, infusing the work with the charge of the words.
